Who We Are

Curtis Harris CURTIS  HARRIS is American and has a Bachelors degree in Sociology and Russian,  as well as a Masters degree in History.  He has taught in Russia and Finland for many years  and has been teaching in Aspect Kindergarten since 2004.  Curtis  is responsible for the selection of native speakers.  He is also very interested in sports.
Chris Weddenburn CHRIS  WEDDERBURN has been teaching in Aspect Kindergarten for nine years, as well as working with adults and teens at all levels of English learning. He is British and has studied Psychology  in England  as well as TEFL. Chris is very musical and frequently appears in musical shows  with the children in  the Kindergarten.
Sydney Peck SYDNEY PECK is British, but has taught in schools in Canada and Ireland, as well as England. He has a Bachelors degree in English  and French, as well as a Masters degree in Education. Music is one of his interests, and he has been teaching at our Kindergarten for three years.
Heidi Reinsch HEIDI REINSCH is from England and speaks fluent Russian and German  as well as her native English. She is a graduate of London University, and also won a research scholarship to Cambridge University. Heidi has taught  for seven years in our Kindergarten. She is a skilled dance artiste and performs in many of our  children’s shows.
Lutsia Mazitova LUTSIA MAZITOVA is a graduate of North Kazakhstan University in English and German, and won a one-year scholarship to study in  the USA. She has taught in our Kindergarten  since 2003, and has also worked for the British Council in St. Petersburg for eight years.  Lutsia is a Director of Studies for the English Curriculum.
Natalya Stepanova NATALYA STEPANOVA graduated from Buryat University and  St. Petersburg University, with a degree in English and Child Psychology, and advanced study in Phonetics.   She has spent several tears teaching English  in gymnasia and in universities, and has been teaching in Aspect Kindergarten since 2009.
Irina Kozlova IRINA KOZLOVA attended the Higher Pedagogical College in St. Petersburg, and in addition to being a qualified kindergarten teacher she is a physical education instructor. Irina has worked for seventeen years with small children, including nine years with Aspect Kindergarten.
Anna Peskova ANNA  PESKOVA has taught wit hAspect for eight years. She is also an experienced translator and text editor in the world of business, where she spent some years after  graduating from  Nizhniy Novgorod Linguistic University.
Alla Manyetova ALLA MANYETOVA is senior teacher in the Blue Group, and has taught in Aspect  Kindergarten for about nine years.  With special skills in speech defects  and methodology, Alla is devoted to children and to pedagogical work. She is a graduate of Herzen University and Ushinskiy Pedagogical Institute.
Tatiana Ivanova TATIANA   IVANOVA is our Director of Studies for the Russian Curriculum  and she also teaches in the Orange Group. She is a graduate of the Teachers College in Tallin, and has taken many extra study courses in St. Petersburg University, related to Kindergarten teaching.
Galina Novikova GALINA NOVIKOVA has over twenty five years of teaching experience, including  twenty in Aspect Kindergarten. Since graduating from Kaluga Pedagogical Institute, Galina has taken many refresher courses at St Petersburg University. She has a special interest in history.
Felicity Curwen-Reed FELICITY CURWEN-REED is a native of England, a graduate of Winchester School of Art and also has a TEFL Diploma. She has been working with children in several countries  for the past  six years. A passionate teacher, Felicity is about to start her second year with Aspect Kindergarten.
Kira Karganova KIRA KARGANOVA is  a teacher of English and German, graduated from Leningrad State Region University, and also has a Master’s Degree in Business administration. Kira is a  Director of Studies for the English Curriculum, and is the senior teacher in Orange  Group.
KARLO GHOKASIAN is an English native-speaker from Canada, and holds a TESL certificate from Oxford Seminars. He has been working with children since 2010 when he started teaching English at both primary and middle-school levels in South Korea. Karlo holds a BA degree in Illustration from OCAD University in Ontario.
LAURA BELYAVSKI is from the USA and is a graduate of UCLA with BA in English Literature and Creative Writing. In addition to a TEFL certificate, she has a diverse body of work experience that has prepared her well to be an English teacher. Besides teaching, Laura often plays a starring role in holiday performances and is responsible for writing and directing many of our spectacular children’s puppet shows.
ANGELA LUCE has taught English in St. Petersburg for the last three years to students of all levels and ages. She graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelors degree in Arts and Performance. Angela brings an artistic flare to everything, including her approach to teaching. She often plays starring roles in the holiday performances and puppet shows.
LINDSAY BERG is from the USA. In addition to her degrees in Russian Language and English Literature from St. Olaf College, she has a wide array or experience teaching English both in the USA and abroad. In her free time Lindsay enjoys baking.
Ekaterina Polyakova EKATERINA POLYAKOVA brings many years of experience as a Teaching Assistant in the British educational system to her job as a teacher in the Yellow Group. After receiving her secondary education in the UK, Ekaterina went on to receive a BA in Fine Art from Newcastle University. In her spare time, she enjoys painting with oils and collecting coins.
NATALIA BELYAMEDINOVA is an expert swimmer (Master of Sport), knowledgeable both in methods of training kindergartners to swim and training athletes for competition. A graduate of the Lesgaft National State University of Physical Education, Sport and Health, she has many years of experience working with children and brings a love of children, responsibility, and diligence to her work.
YELENA ISHUTINA YELENA ISHUTINA is a native of California, having lived and studied there most of her life. She graduated from the California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelors degree in Music in Education. Yelena has experience teaching music to children of various ages, with a particular emphasis on teaching English through music.
ALEXANDRA ZAVGORODNYAYA ALEXANDRA ZAVGORODNYAYA holds a degree English and German Languages from the Far East Federal University in Ussuriisk. She has a variety of experience teaching English to primary school students. Her favorite hobby is singing, which shines through in her work at the kindergarten.
ALLISON ALSAKER ALLISON ALSAKER is from the USA where she studied Russian and German – and also completed a TEFL course – at Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint-Peter, Minnesota. In 2010-11 she completed a CIEE programme at St. Petersburg State University, and since 2012 Allison has been teaching in the Paddington Group of ILA Aspect British Nursery School, and in ILA Aspect British Primary School No. 35.
MARY JOSEPHINE DOYLE MARY JOSEPHINE DOYLE is from Liverpool, England, and graduated from the University of Leeds with a Bachelor of Education Honours Degree in 1975, and Diplomas of Advanced Studies in Education from the University of Lancaster (Teaching of Reading) in 1981, and Liverpool Hope University (Computing Across The Curriculum) in 1986. Josephine has taught English and Mathematics at all levels to adults and children for 33 years in the English State Education System. Since 2013, teaching English language, and Mathematics (in English) at ILA Aspect British Schools, and English at ILA Aspect British Nursery School.
ANNA FELGER ANNA FELGER is from the USA. After gaining a TEFL Diploma she taught both children (in a kindergarten) and adults (in a conversation club) in St. Petersburg, before later joining ILA Aspect in January 2013. Anna has a BA degree in Fine Art with Focus on Illustration from Columbia College in Chicago.
RUSLAN S. BOYTSOV RUSLAN S. BOYTSOVgraduated from Herzen State University in 2013 with a Bachelor Degree in Physical Training Education Science, specialising in working with younger children (pre-school), and joined ILA Aspect in Autumn 2013 as Head of Physical Education.
